It’s almost here. Advent begins on November 30th, and if you’re anything like me, it always seems to barrel in faster than expected—much like Lent.

One moment we’re wrapping up fall, and the next, December is knocking with a calendar full of commitments, a heart full of emotion, and longing for peace.

Still, this is hands-down my favorite time of year. Advent and Christmastide offer us a special chance to re-center and remember what life is truly about: Jesus Christ

As we learned in catechism as children, our purpose is simple and profound:

“To know Him, love Him, and serve Him—and to be happy with Him in this life and in the next.”

But life gets noisy. We get distracted, discouraged, and forgetful. We’re human.

That’s why God, in His infinite wisdom, gave us His only begotten Son.

We need Him for every breath, every heartbeat, every thought, word, and deed. And He is gracious beyond measure.

Advent reminds us of this truth: through a tiny newborn baby, God gives us Himself—fully, freely, forever. No one else will ever give you everything. But God already has. So be of good cheer, no matter what you’re facing. Receive His love with an open, humble heart. We’re praying for you—for peace, clarity, and holy joy this season.
